Although I feel you were alittle lame on trail shoes. I’m surprised the àltra lone peak wasn’t on the list. My personal favorite trail shoe is the superior 5, for mix road and trails.

Most of these look like rugby balls for soles. This 5-inch padding and rockered profile trend needs to end. The last good pair of shoes I had was the Mizuno Wave Ronin (3, 4, and 5 series).

At present my favorite go to running shoe for 5 and 10Ks is the Saucony Triumph ISO. I bought my first Saucony Triumph about 5 years ago. Really liked it and have stayed with it since.

Any comments on Joma running shoes. They market 2 shoes quite aggressively, Super Cross and Viper. Would to know peoples thoughts on these models.
Thanks.

The changes that Saucony made to this shoe weren t numerous, but each one was significant and improved its performance. The Ride is a very plush neutral-cushioned shoe (equivalent to a Brooks Glycerin or an Asics Cumulus), designed more for comfort than speed; all of the tweaks in this latest iteration were aimed at making the run a more pleasurable experience. The mesh upper has been tweaked to make it not only more breathable but also structurally firmer to help hold the foot in place, especially across the toebox when your toes splay out. The heel counter has been made a little more snug to improve the rear fit; an extra m of Saucony s premium midsole foam has been added to give a softer feel and the stretchy Isofit lacing system has been adjusted to accommodate more runners of different foot width. All in all, a brilliantly unobtrusive and consistent marathon training shoe.

Personally I prefer New Balance 890v7 and using frequently for 3 years.Long distqance running or Marathon Saucony is great too.

Oh I forgot to mention I just got into running at 48 years old, went to local running shoe store and tried on over 12 pairs of various name brand shoes with an open mind. I even told my husband I wasn’t going with Brooks just because he wore them. After trying on and running in all these different high shoes I went with BROOKS Levitate. Hands down was the best fitting and feeling running shoe. That was last fall. I’m still running in them and they feel great even after several miles on them!
