Who should buy the Reebok Nano X3 ?

Anybody looking to get into strength training or crossfit would be a perfect fit for this shoe. From heavy deadlifts, to climbing ropes this shoe will do what you need. Also works for the fit dad to walk around the amusement park with his kids!

Who should not buy the Reebok Nano X3 ?

I really do not think a person should’nt buy this shoe unless you are training for a marathon or plan on running in them over lifting. Someone with a wide foot would probably find some issues. Even with the light flexweave upper that moves and feels free, they arent the widest upper out there.

Reebok Nano X3 Introduction

The Reebok Nano x3 is the latest version in the Nano series with a new heelcup design and a cushion pod in the heel known as the lift and run chassis.

Coming in with Floatride energy foam like they put in their running shoes, giving you a responsive, cushioned ride.

The x3 is known for its capabilities in the CrossFit world, but now with the heel pod and heel cup, it can be used for powerlifting and short snappy runs as well with ease.

The new heel cup design allows for great transitions between sets without the shoes falling off of your foot. The heel pod also allows for firm standing during a lift yet ease of landing when doing box jumps or sprints.

Like the popular Nike Metcon, No Bull, and Vans Ultrarange, these shoes are making waves in the fitness industry. The Nano was already a hit before but with the new tech involved, I’ve noticed many more people using them in the gym!

I believe they could drop the price quite a bit to match up with their competitors.

At a high price point of $150, these are solid shoes but more people would be inclined to purchase them if they were 20 to 30 dollars cheaper in my opinion.

Reebok Nano X3 Impressions

When unboxing the shoe I was blown away by the styling. A very aesthetic and quality looking platform.

The heel structure made me eager to grab a bar and lift it off the ground! As soon as I laced up the shoe it felt very comfortable.

The Flexweave upper allows for breathability yet a good hold in the toebox. The heel cup grabs your Achilles and you know a good shoe is on your foot. For the first workout, it was leg day.

Heavy squats and deadlifts were on the menu. The flat base made me feel grounded and firm to the floor. With each movement the shoes stayed true to shape and comfortable throughout.

I did notice though right off the bat that these shoes do need a break-in period. I’m used to breaking in new boots at work and they were a bit stiff like a fresh pair of work boots.

After a couple of sessions, i felt them open up! Not the worst problem you could have but something I felt needed mentioned.

Reebok Nano X3 Comfort and fit

The Nanos fit true to size with a comfortable upper material that allow for your feet to breathe.

The Floatride Energy foam has great cushion and shock absorbtion for landing hard.

The all-surface rubber gives you solid traction and grip even on the side for rope climbs and toe grip for wall handstands.

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for running?

Now for running I wouldn’t suggest these shoes. For short little sprints or box jumps the lift and run chassis design is comfortable and gives you cushion but the shoe is overall too heavy and not shaped correctly to run any sort of distance.

The flat wide bottom almost slaps the ground as you run. Minimal running in the gym they worked okay but I did run a 5k in them to get a real running experience and it’s just not what they are made for.

The grip on the bottom was great though for traction outdoors on the streets and in gravel so I do gotta give them that!

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for HIIT / Crossfit?

For Hiit and Crossfit, these are great. Versatile like ive mentioned for short runs, box jumps, burpees and more. Any type of quick movement they hold to your feet.

Soft landings coming off of muscle ups and the heelcup really locks your foot in when transitioning around box jumps.

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for weight lifting?

The flat, wide base gives you a great platform to weight train. I had multiple sessions of strict strength training and never was disappointed.

I always felt grounded and had the support needed to follow through with my lifts. Whether deadlifting, squatting, or even benching, I was ready to take on the workout without fretting.

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for dance classes?

I wouldnt reccomend them for dance classes like ballet but they could probably work for simple zumba. They flex with your foot but not to the extent of standing on the toe and are a bit heavy to really spin in.

For your typical Zumba or yoga class, they are breathable enough to not sweat like crazy, and are comfortable enough to last the session with enjoyment.

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for general gym use?

For an average gym goer to a powerlifter I believe these shoes will work for either.

They are cushioned yet firm, have great floor grip and will give you a solid platform for whatever your workout is.

Is the Reebok Nano X3 good for other types of training?

I love these shoes for an outting with my family.

They are very stylish and trendy like most shoes these days yet comfortable enough to wear all day at the zoo without wanting to rip them off.

Evening walks with my dogs are great as well.

Reebok Nano X3 Conclusions

I truly do enjoy these shoes for all day wearing and gym usage. I love how they hold my foot in place and alloe my toes to breathe as well.

They are stable to workout in but they do have a solid cushioning system to last without your feet hurting. I would really like them to lower the price a bit so more people could enjoy them but overall my experience with them were great.

As mentioned I wouldnt try to run a marathon in them but i could do some sprints in the gym and not complain! My favorite part about them is just how great looking of a shoe they are.
